AnLock Terms of Service

Published: September 20, 2026 · Effective date: October 20, 2026 · Document version: terms-2026-09-20

Key points

1. Purpose and operator

These Terms govern the AnLock Android application and related website (together, the “Service”) provided by Hwang Juhye, the operator of AnLock (“Operator”), and set out the rights and obligations of the Operator and users.

2. Definitions

3. Publication and changes

  1. These Terms are made available during sign-up, in the app settings, or on the website.
  2. We will announce the effective date and reason for an amendment at least 7 days in advance. Material or adverse changes will generally be announced at least 30 days in advance, and separate consent will be obtained where required by law.
  3. Continued use alone will not be treated as consent where applicable law requires separate consent.
  4. If a translation conflicts with the Korean version, the Korean version controls to the extent permitted by law. Mandatory laws of the user’s place of residence remain unaffected.

4. Service features

5. Registration, accounts, and minors

  1. You must provide accurate information and protect your account and authentication credentials.
  2. The Service is not directed to children under 14 and currently has no parental-consent flow. Users below 14, or a higher minimum age required in their country, must not create an account or purchase paid features without a legally valid parental process.
  3. Minors must obtain consent from a parent or legal guardian before buying paid products. If a minor makes a paid purchase without that consent, the minor or legal guardian may cancel it as permitted by applicable law. Cancellation rights may be limited where the minor used active deception to make the Operator reasonably believe that the minor was an adult or had guardian consent. Unauthorized use of another person’s payment information may also limit cancellation under applicable law and Google Play policy and may result in separate legal responsibility.
  4. You may not transfer your account or use another person’s account or payment method without authorization.

6. Device permissions and functional limits

  1. The app may use Accessibility Service, display-over-other-apps, Usage Access, notifications, exact alarms, boot-completed events, foreground services, and optional device-administrator features to provide lock functions.
  2. Accessibility Service identifies the foreground app during a lock and restricts apps that are not allowed. Details appear in the Privacy Policy and the prominent in-app disclosure before permission is requested.
  3. Locks, schedules, and notifications may be delayed or limited by the Android version, manufacturer policy, battery optimization, permission status, or network failure. We provide recovery options and notices where reasonably possible.
  4. Revoking a permission, closing or uninstalling the app, restarting the device, or encountering a system error does not itself trigger a CFF charge. Technical failure is treated separately from an explicit Give Up action.
  5. Before using AnLock for an important task, test it with a one-minute lock and confirm access to emergency communications. AnLock is not a parental-control, emergency-response, or medical-safety service.

7. CFF application and payment

  1. CFF applies only when configured for a timer or scheduled lock and the applicable conditions are recorded for that session. It does not apply to instant or test locks.
  2. For a timer lock, you must review and separately accept the amount and conditions immediately before starting. For a scheduled lock, the amount and conditions saved in your settings apply when the session begins and may be changed in settings.
  3. Starting or normally completing a lock does not create a charge. Payment occurs only after you choose “Give Up,” confirm that you want to end the session, and complete the Google Play purchase at the final price and tax shown by Google Play.
  4. Google Play processes payment. We do not store raw card or bank-account details. The CFF payment record is finalized, and the unlock flow proceeds, only after server-side purchase verification.
  5. If you cancel Google Play checkout or payment or server verification fails, the charge is not finalized and the lock may continue. You may retry or use an available emergency-recovery or support process.
  6. No CFF is charged for normal expiration, Instant PIN unlock, customer-support remote unlock, emergency recovery, test-lock completion, or the app’s Kill Process transition.

8. Memberships and Development Support

  1. Momentum, Mastery, and upgrade packs are currently one-time, permanent-entitlement products purchased through Google Play, not recurring subscriptions. The product description and final price shown at checkout control.
  2. “Permanent” means the entitlement remains on the account while the account and Service exist. It is not a promise that the Service will continue indefinitely despite changes in law, store policy, or events beyond reasonable control.
  3. Development Support is voluntary and is not required to register for the core Service. Pre-disclosed digital benefits, such as app themes, may be provided based on support history. Development Support is not eligible for a charitable receipt, income deduction, or tax credit, and does not mean funds are transferred to a public-benefit organization.
  4. An optional message and attachment connected to Development Support may be delivered to the support mailbox. We will not publish a supporter’s email, message, or amount without separate express consent.

9. Cancellation and refunds

  1. Cancellation and refund rights for paid products are governed by applicable law and Google Play’s refund policy. These Terms do not limit statutory withdrawal rights, remedies for defects, or a minor’s right to cancel where applicable.
  2. Where digital content is supplied immediately, a statutory withdrawal right may be limited. Before purchase, we will disclose the price, content, and any legally required withdrawal limitation and obtain any required consent.
  3. If you suspect a duplicate charge, non-delivery, incorrect charge, technical error, or a product materially different from its description, request a refund from Google Play or support. We may request an order number, time, and error details reasonably needed to investigate, but will not require unnecessary personal data.
  4. If Google Play approves a refund, Memberships, records, or entitlements associated with that purchase may be revoked or corrected.

10. User responsibilities

You must follow applicable law, these Terms, and Service instructions. You must not manipulate the Service, servers, or payments, access another user’s data or account, or include another person’s sensitive data, illegal content, or malicious files in support or Development Support messages.

11. Changes, suspension, and account restrictions

  1. We may change the Service for quality, security, legal, store-policy, or operational reasons. Material reductions to paid features will be announced in advance and handled as required by law.
  2. The Service may be temporarily interrupted for maintenance, failures, or events beyond reasonable control. Foreseeable interruptions will be announced where reasonably possible.
  3. We may restrict an account for illegal conduct, payment fraud, attacks on the Service, or infringement of others’ rights. Except in urgent cases, we will provide the reason and an opportunity to object.

12. Account withdrawal and data deletion

  1. You may withdraw through the account or data-deletion feature in the app or website. Direct deletion while signed in requires a recent sign-in to verify identity. If you cannot sign in, you may use the website deletion-request process; we process the request after the identity-verification procedure we provide, such as email-link verification.
  2. Once withdrawal is confirmed, we remove in stages the Firebase Authentication account; user profile, settings, device, and notification information; all user subcollections; lock records and progress; the Service’s original purchase-verification ledger; original inquiry and customer-support records; deletion-request and verification records; and account-linked delivery-limit and message records. We suspend account access while processing and may use a temporary job record to resume a failed step.
  3. We may separately retain only the minimum transaction evidence—such as product and order identifiers, amount, currency, status, payment/refund times, and refund reason—for five years from transaction completion or the relevant retention event. We may separately retain the minimum inquiry, response, and dispute-handling evidence—such as category, title, content, response, and handling times—for three years from closure. These separated records are not used to restore a deleted account, resume Service access, or market to you, and access is limited to what is necessary for the stated purpose.
  4. After completion, we may separately retain a minimum deletion audit record for three years containing the request route, verification method, processing times, deletion/retention counts, and result. This audit record does not include a UID, email address, authentication token, or raw error content.
  5. Deleting an account does not delete Google Play’s independently retained purchase history or automatically refund completed purchases. Google Play may process its transaction information independently under its policies and applicable law.

13. Responsibility

  1. We use reasonable efforts to maintain the security and availability of the Service.
  2. We are responsible as provided by applicable law for harm caused by our intent or negligence. Nothing in these Terms excludes non-waivable consumer rights.
  3. Liability may be limited to the extent harm is directly caused by user device settings, manufacturer restrictions, network failure, or a third-party outage without our intent or negligence.

14. Governing law and disputes

  1. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without limiting mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence.
  2. Please contact support first regarding a dispute. If it cannot be resolved, either party may bring a claim before a court with jurisdiction under applicable law.
