These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to users in India who access or use the AnLock mobile application, website, and related services (the “Service”) operated by AnLock (“Company”, “we”, or “us”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

AnLock provides focus and digital-wellbeing tools including lock sessions (instant, timer, and schedule), optional allow-listed applications during a session, and history or statistics depending on your membership tier.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your state or union territory, whichever is higher, to use paid features. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must agree to these Terms on your behalf where required by law.

3. Account and Security

  1. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials.
  2. You must provide accurate registration information and keep it updated.
  3. Notify us promptly at support@anlock.app if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Payments, Membership, Penalties, and Donations

In-app purchases, memberships, penalties for early session termination (where applicable), and voluntary donations are processed through platform payment providers (e.g. Google Play). Prices are shown in applicable currency before you confirm payment. Refunds are handled in accordance with applicable law, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, and platform policies, unless a shorter statutory period applies.

5. Permissions on Android Devices

The app may request accessibility or usage access permissions to enforce lock rules and measure allowed-app usage. Blocking logic may run on your device; only data described in our Privacy Policy is transmitted to our servers.

All rights in the Service, trademarks, and content remain with the Company or its licensors. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the Service as permitted by these Terms.

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service is not a substitute for medical, psychological, or professional advice.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted under the laws of India, the Company shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or INR 5,000, whichever is lower, except where liability cannot be limited by law.

10. Grievance and Consumer Rights

For grievances related to the Service or these Terms, contact our grievance officer at support@anlock.app. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and resolve them within 30 days where reasonably possible. You may also approach relevant consumer forums under applicable Indian law.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at New Delhi shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protection provisions that may allow you to bring proceedings in your place of residence.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms and publish the new version at /legal/in/terms-YYYY-MM-DD.html. Material changes will be communicated through the app or other reasonable means where required by law.
